Alex received her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 2020. While at DePaul, she focused on public interest and criminal law, earning a Criminal Law Certificate upon graduation. Alex’s work experience is almost exclusively in criminal defense. She has worked for the Office of the State Appellate Defender in Chicago, Illinois, where she handled cases on direct appeal, and as a Clinical student in the Criminal Appeals Clinic, also focusing on appellate defense.

After law school, Alex has worked at the Kent County Office of the Defender in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and for Peterson, Paletta, Balice PLC, where she has continued to advocate for clients charged with misdemeanors and felonies.
